Congratulations to Ayaan Abbasi and Jonathan Grimes, who are both recent ICC graduates of Master Chorale and now have the distinct honor of being finalists in the Great American Songbook Academy! They were chosen from hundreds of applicants nationwide to be a part of this summer intensive program that focuses on jazz, pop, and Broadway standards. During the program, Ayaan and Jonathan will take part in classes, workshops, and performances with the mentorship of professionals like Michael Feinstein, Shereen Ahmed, and many more.

Best of all, you can support Ayaan and Jonathan by attending a public performance to see all their hard work! Here are the opportunities to see Great American Songbook Academy participants in action:

• Public Masterclass –Wednesday, July 20 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. ET
  Ten randomly selected participants will perform and receive real-time critiques from Michael Feinstein and Nicole Henry.
• Songbook Showcase –Thursday, July 21 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. ET
  Each of the 40 national finalists will have a turn in the spotlight to perform a selected song.
• Songbook Academy in Concert –Saturday, July 23 at 7:00 p.m. ET
  Michael Feinstein will emcee as all 40 singers deliver solo and ensemble performances to demonstrate and celebrate their growth over the course of the week.

For the July 20-21 events, on-site tickets and livestream registration are pay-what-you-can with no minimum price. For the final concert, on-site tickets start at just $25, and the livestream option is pay-what-you-can with a $10 minimum.
