The Indianapolis Children’s Choir has gone virtual – and now singers from Kindergarten through 12th grade can be members of the ICC from anywhere in the world on a weekly basis!
Our ICC Connects singers will participate in live virtual rehearsals along with the local singers in our Foundations, Preparatory, Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced, and High School division choirs.
ICC Connects singers are welcome to come to town to participate in person for performances or they can be webcast into performances on our stage from their own homes around the world! Now everyone can receive a renowned musical education from ICC directors. Join us on our journey to artistic excellence and become a part of the ICC family!
Who?
Youth living outside the state of Indiana who love to sing in Kindergarten through 12th Grade! Also includes classes for Music At Play, our early childhood (Toddler/Preschool) program, and our Jubilate Choir (for children with special needs in grades 3-9).
When?
- Music At Play (early childhood): Toddler/Preschool virtual classes will be offered at regular intervals throughout the year. See the ICC website for virtual class announcements and registration – with Mrs. Lauren Southard.
- Foundations (Kindergarten): Thursdays from 5:00 – 6:00 pm (EST)
Butler Foundations Choir – with Mrs. Lauren Southard. - Preparatory (1st-3rd Grade): Thursdays from 6:00 – 7:00 pm (EST)
Butler Prep Choir – with Mrs. Lauren Southard - Jubilate (Children with special needs in 3rd-9th Grade): Wednesdays from 6:45 – 7:30 pm (EST), Butler Prep Choir – with Mrs. Lauren Southard
Singers in 4th – 12th grade will be placed in one of the following choirs according to a virtual audition:
- Octavo (Beginning): Mondays from 5:30 – 6:45 pm (EST)
with Mrs. Leeann Starkey. - Chamber (Intermediate): Mondays from 7:00 – 8:15 pm (EST)
with Mrs. Leeann Starkey. - Indy Voice (Advanced): Wednesdays from 6:00 – 8:30 pm (EST)
with Mr. Josh Pedde. - Master Chorale (10th – 12th Grade): Sundays from 1:30 – 4:00 pm (EST) with Mrs. Amy Hughley.
Performances?
Yes! ICC Connects singers will perform in season concerts. Singers who are able to travel to Indianapolis to attend performances in person are welcome to do so. Otherwise, all ICC Connects singers will be webcast to
season performances from their homes and will perform “on the stage” with the rest of their choir. Details will vary by concert and be communicated to ICC Connects families.
