The ICC’s Community Outreach Through Song directly reflects our vision to bridge across cultures, ethnicities, and economic backgrounds to bring choral music to all children. Through this commitment to serving the entire central Indiana community, the musical excellence of the ICC is available through many outreach initiatives, including our new Day of Song events!
How to Sing With Us
Join ICC directors for a fun day of singing and learning for children, beginners welcome! Day of Song is an accessible way for singers in preschool – 8th grade from the community to come together to experience the musical expertise of the ICC.

Preschool Outreach Program – POP!
This specially crafted one-day event designed to bring the joy of music to preschoolers ages 3 to 5 years old while participating with their caregiver. Packed with interactive activities and captivating songs, this delightful program introduces young minds to the wonders of music in a fun and engaging way. A snack is included for each participant.

Foundations BOOST Camp for Kindergarteners
Get a one-day glimpse into ICC’s choir for kindergarteners! Kindergarteners will be immersed in the arts as a tool for strengthening their skills in key areas of this important introductory academic year including symbols, patterns, math, and more.

Young Exceptional Singers – YES!
YES! is a one-day musical event where children will learn, create, and perform for a live audience. This one-of-a-kind musical learning experience was designed to highlight the amazing things that 1st-3rd grade singers can do with their voices, and is the ideal way to try out the ICC’s Preparatory Choir program.

9:00 am – 11:30 am, free public concert from 11:30 am – 12:00 pm

Neighborhood Choir Academy
Join ICC directors for a fun day of singing and learning to prepare to perform for a live audience! Neighborhood Choir Academy is an accessible way for singers from the community to come together to experience the musical expertise of the ICC. Plus, all participants have the opportunity to perform as a part of the Indianapolis Children’s Choir at an upcoming season concert! A t-shirt will be provided for singers participating in the concert. Those who attend the performance will receive 1 free ticket for a family member.

1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, free public concert from 4:00 pm – 4:30 pm
