Dear BV Families,

The artistry, musicality, poise and confidence with which these young women performed last evening are greater than words can express. They filled that hall with your beautiful presence! With each passing concert, I grow even prouder and more honored to serve as your director.

Now for some important upcoming reminders:

1. Our next rehearsal is this Sunday, March 29th. It is an extended rehearsal from 2 pm to 5:30pm. Please make every effort to attend this extra rehearsal, as there is no rehearsal on April 5th, Easter Sunday. We will have an additional extended rehearsal on Sunday, April 12th from 2 to 5:30.
2. Big Fun Event: Our big ICC yearly fundraising event is coming up, and each ICC choir presents a basket to auction off. While BV need not be present on April 18 for the event itself, we must have a basket to present. BV’s basket theme is quilting. This Sunday is the last day to donate items for our basket, and thus far, we only have 4 items! Some ideas for you to donate are: quilting books, fabric, batting, storage containers, quilter’s tools, supplies and notions like quilting thread, pins, rulers, buttons, thimbles and fabric pencils, or gift cards. Please bring in one simple item – it will make a great difference.
3. We have a concert on Sunday, April 19th at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 4780 E 126th St, Carmel, IN 46033. Call time is 1 pm, hour long performance is at 3 pm. This concert is in lieu of rehearsal for this day, as we will have an opportunity to rehearse at the church. I will distribute a hand out in rehearsal this Sunday with the remaining BV dates listed for the year.
4. Chicago: Thanks to a few of our BV parents, we will have t-shirts for our Chicago trip! Please bring in your T shirt money ($6 per shirt or more if you would like to offer a donation) this Sunday in an envelope with your name and size printed on the outside.
5. Blankets: There are 2 more blankets to complete. If you would like to earn extra service hours, please volunteer to take one home this week and finish it, so we can donated all of our blankets in a timely fashion.
6. Innovations: There are 3 fantastic Innovations classes left to join this spring: A Musical Review (date changed to Saturday, May 2nd from 1 to 4 pm), Composition and Arranging (Saturday, May 2nd from 9am to 12pm) and Digital Arts Level 2 (Saturday, April 18th from 9am to 12pm).
