Micaela Sterling

DIRECTING CARMEL FOUNDATIONS CHOIR AND MUSIC AT PLAY

Micaela earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Anderson University, where she also completed her Orff Schulwerk certification. Before joining the Indianapolis Children’s Choir faculty, she taught elementary music at Noble Crossing Elementary in Noblesville.
She has experience teaching and directing young singers at a variety of levels and is passionate about helping children discover confidence, belonging, and joy through music. In addition to her teaching, Micaela has performed in both choral and instrumental ensembles and enjoys bringing her own love of performance into the classroom and rehearsal space.
Outside of teaching, she enjoys reading, being outside, and spending time with her husband, James, and two daughters, Ella and Indi.
