A Message from Mrs. Hughley

Dear BV Families,

We had a very productive rehearsal yesterday, and we are preparing for a festive concert this Saturday at the State Capitol.

Please read below for important weekly notes:

  • Christmas at the Capitol is this Saturday. The call time is 12:15 pm, and we should be through no later than 3:10 pm. Please see the detail sheet for additional information: https://icchoir.org/event/christmas-at-the-capitol-bv/
  • Please encourage your singer to work on memorizing her pieces for Saturday. Recordings are online on the BV webpage: https://icchoir.org/choir-pages/bella-voce/
  • Congratulations to our soloists:
    • Stille Nacht: Cheyenne Johnson
    • Hebrew Love Songs: Madeline Hudson
    • Once in Royal David’s City: Breighanne Brown
    • There are 2 additional solos remaining: one spoken solo in Hebrew Love Song IV and a small group in David’s City. If your singer is interested in these solos, please listen online to prepare. Auditions are this Sunday, December 6 during rehearsal.
  • There will be extended make up rehearsals this Sunday, December 6 and next Sunday, December 13 from 4:40 to 5:30. Please plan to attend one or both if at all possible.
  • We are holding a winter gift exchange for our mentors and mentees during our Angels Sing rehearsals. Singers may not spend more than $15 total. If a singer has a financial issue and is unable to provide gifts, please see Mrs. Hughley privately. Students will receive mentor/mentee forms this Sunday in rehearsal.
  • We are collecting warm weather clothing to donate to needy Indianapolis families. You may begin brining new or clean, gently used coats, hats, gloves, scarves and other winter clothes beginning this Sunday, December 6.
