DIRECTING HENDRICKS COUNTY- AVON: PREPARATORY CHOIR AND BEGINNING LEVEL CHOIR

Abigail (Abbie) Hunter is an elementary music educator and choir director from Avon, IN. Mrs. Hunter is entering her eighth year teaching third, fourth, and fifth grade general music as well as sixth grade choir at Danville Community School Corporation. Mrs. Hunter graduated with honors from the University of Indianapolis in 2016. During her time at UIndy, she served as secretary and president of the university’s Collegiate National Associate for Music Education (CNAfME) chapter.

Mrs. Hunter is an alumna of the Indianapolis Children’s Choir and has been serving on the ICC Alumni Association Board for the past two years. Prior to serving on the Alumni board, she spent several summers teaching classes and volunteering for ICC Summer Choral Festival Camps. In her free time, Mrs. Hunter enjoys photography, lifting weights, and spending time with her husband Owen, a fellow elementary music educator.
