Here we go!!

I don’t know about you, but this picture is how I feel! I know the song says “it’s the most wonderful time of the year (and it is!!),” but I feel like it is busiest time of the year too!

I know that each and everyone of you are working very hard. However, I need you to push yourselves for the next two weeks. Not for me, but for each other! I have always said to you that you are an AMAZING group and this choir can do anything! Well, prove me right!

For Wednesday we need the following done (MEMORIZED!)

  • Gaudete
  • Star of Bethlehem
  • Gloria Fanfare
  • Jubilate Deo
  • While Shepherds Watched
  • Ding Dong
  • Stars (Do the best you can on this!!)
  • Night of Silence
  • Bring a Torch
  • Panis Angelicus
  • Hine Ma Tov
  • Silver Bells
  • Arurru
  • Donkey Carol
  • There is Faint Music
  • Angels We Have Heard on High

Focus on what you don’t know! I would focus on Gloria, Jubilate, and Gaudete. Then work on O Holy Night, Leise Reiselt, and anything else you still need to do…

Use the recordings as much as possible.

Know that I BELIEVE IN YOU! I love the music that we make together and cannot wait to share it with so many people this holiday season!

I have to tell you that Christmas is one of my favorite times of year. I have shared with you several of my personal life events over the year. However, one that is near and dear to me are the memories of my grandfather. He was a wonderful man who loved Christmas and the joy the season brought. I can remember going to midnight service with him (just the two of us!) It was so special and the music that was sung in the church. I love sharing that joy with others as I know each of you do as well.

So, let’s do that together!

I have another thing to ask of each of you. Please find it in your hearts to share with the children of Lutherwood. These are young people who have come to this home because they have had abuse in their lives by people who were suppose to take care of them… I hope that we can show how blessed we are to have one another as we share offerings with them.

I also have a second request. We have a director who has fallen on tough times. If you might bring in one can good, I would like to put together a Christmas basket for this director for his family this holiday season.

Thank you for being such wonderful young adults! I am so blessed to be with you all!

See you on Wednesday!

Mr. Pedde
